CERTIFIED SCA COURSES

The SCA courses are the most complete and highly regarded courses in the world of coffee.
They are given by trainers authorised by the institution itself and the best way to know whether someone is a true coffee professional.

abcoffee’s SCA courses are taught by people who actually work as baristas and roasters and they are as tailored as it can be: the minimum number of participants is one.
The issue of a SCA certificate has an extra cost which varies by each course and depends if you are SCA member or not.

Hands-on Courses

Our hands-on courses’ programme depends entirely on the student’s interests and needs.

It takes place during three eight-hour sessions that occur on disperse days so that the repetition of complex tasks facilitates the internalisation of processes. It’s a completely tailored programme that aims at creating baristas that are as experienced as they are knowledgeable.

In this course, we’ll teach you how to work with different espresso machines; how to prepare several types of beverages (espresso, americano, cappuccino, flat white); how to vaporise milk; what’s the importance of different types of grinders and grinds; how to organise your workstation functionally and also how to communicate the different characteristics of different beverages to clients.
